Fran Sullivan

Making a change to your lifestyle can be a challenging process. Essentially to become the ‘you’ you want to be, the challenge must become real.

At times you may feel uncomfortable but recognising this and being OK with it is the best way forward.  My role as your personal trainer is to guide and support you in an environment that is trusting, reassuring but, yes you guessed it, somewhat challenging!

Marc Hand

Master Personal Trainer & Wellness Coach

How are we going to change your world?

Some of my clients started because they wanted to keep up with their kids and their grandkids.

Some started because they wanted to make their sport easier, or enjoy their holidays, or do something they used to do and some were just sick of being in pain.

Shiela Askey

Master Personal Trainer & Activation Practitioner

In 2011 I became a Certified Level 4 personal trainer, my qualifications also extend to the following areas: older Adults, childhood, kettlebell and TRX suspension training. As a personal trainer I am proud to have helped clients achieve goals in the areas of weight loss, toning, strength and movement. These goals have been achieved through trust, motivation, a commitment to change, hard work and fun! I feel very privileged to have been able to share in so many life-changing journeys, both mine and others.

History

Personal Best Fitness was founded by Amanda Coombe, who established the business in 1998. Initially working as a personal training consultancy operating out of other facilities, in 2005 Personal Best Fitness settled down in its current location in North Hobart.

It then became a dream to provide the clients of Personal Best Fitness with a facility that had a warm and friendly atmosphere and that inspires its members and clients.

Giving Back

Share the Dignity

At Personal Best Fitness, we proudly support Share the Dignity, an organisation dedicated to helping women in need. Share the Dignity provides essential sanitary items to women experiencing homelessness, poverty, or domestic violence, ensuring they can manage their periods with dignity.

Throughout the year, we organise collection drives in March and August, encouraging our community to donate sanitary products. These donations directly impact the lives of women in need, providing them with the dignity and care they deserve.

Hobart Women’s Shelter

Personal Best Fitness is proud to support the Hobart Women’s Shelter an organisation dedicated to providing safe accommodation and support services to women and children experiencing homelessness and domestic violence.

During the holiday season, we host a giving tree at our gym, where members from the community can donate gifts for the women and children at the Hobart’s Women’s Shelter. These gifts bring joy and comfort during a challenging time, showing our support and care for those in need
